The new PanGeo brochure, created in July 2013, is available as a simple download and provides an excellent outline of the PanGeo service and products available. If you require more information please contact the project administrator. It can be located under Resources/Documents.
PanGeo was invited to present a poster at the Smart Cities event in Munich in the European Space Expo Globe. The evening highlighted demonstrations of innovative space applications that showcased how cities can develop and deliver better services to citizens. PanGeo identified the importance of geohazards in the future development of cities.
PanGeo delivered some very informative presentations given by NPA Satellite Mapping, BGS, TNO and AB Consulting outlining the project, the PanGeo service delivery and the use of the PanGeo products within the Geological Surveys.
PanGeo will hold a user forum at the ESS conference from 9.00-13.00 on Wednesday 6th November 2013. To register for the event please see www.space-solutions.eu - we look forward to meeting any potential users.
In response to feedback from the original PanGeo website, we've updated the look and feel of the website, as well as adding some new content. If you have any comments please contact the Project coordinator.
Rome is our first Local Authority to take on board PanGeo and promote us on their website! A big thank you goes to Guido Peroni of SIRS who made this possible. We are looking forward to other Local Authorities following in Rome’s footsteps. Please keep us informed if you are aware that your local authority would be happy to do this. See this website for more details.
6 months into the project, the PanGeo website has now gone live (as you can see!). Even though the Portal that will eventually provide the PanGeo service is not yet ready (due during 2012), it is hoped that the current site will stimulate interest and provide a useful resource.
